Summer Spanish Immersion Camps for Kids in Manhattan Beach
Sessions are modeled after our very successful and highly educational curriculum of the year-round program with a special emphasis on learning Spanish through extended game playing, singing songs, dancing, arts and crafts, and role-playing with real-world scenarios. There are prizes and take-home goodies every day and kids will have the chance to immerse themselves in the Spanish culture with food tasting and pretend stores so they can learn Spanish with real-life scenarios. (If your child has a food allergy, sessions will be tailored to your child’s needs.)
The Summer Immersion Camps are also a great way for your child to try-out our Spanish in Action program if you are considering signing up for our year-round program.
My daughter has been going to Spanish in action for years. She has such a great time in “class” playing games and having fun – all in Spanish! She has learned so much and has such a great head start knowing a second language at such a young age!

Every session is different!
BEGINNERS: For children who know some or no words in Spanish. In this camp, your child will be introduced to the language in a fun and engaging way to learn everyday vocabulary and develop a very good accent. We will be talking about other cultures, which will open and widen your child’s thinking skills. Singing, dancing, arts and crafts, acting out different scenarios, and making their own Spanish book is incorporated into everyday activities. Children will leave the camp with a very positive attitude towards the learning of the Spanish language and culture, will be singing songs, speaking Spanish words and they will ask you for more! Guaranteed!
INTERMEDIATE 1: For children who have taken Spanish lessons for one or two years. Children know a variety of different vocabulary and are beginning to communicate and put words together to express simple ideas in Spanish. The teacher will combine a variety of activities that will allow the children to practice Spanish in situations that arise in their everyday life so they can take the knowledge from camp to the real world. Singing, dancing, arts, and crafts, acting out different scenarios, and making their own Spanish book are incorporated into their planned activities.
INTERMEDIATE 2: The child knows a variety of everyday vocabulary and expresses simple ideas. In this camp, the children will use the knowledge they have to practice everyday situations, continue to build and expand their vocabulary to express their thoughts to the teacher and classmates in a fun and engaging way. They will also continue to work on accent and fluency as their sentences will be longer and more detailed. Singing, dancing, arts and crafts, acting out different scenarios and making their own Spanish book are incorporated into everyday activities.
ADVANCED: The child has a wide everyday vocabulary, able to fluently speak 8-10 word sentences about everyday life, and is beginning to read and write in Spanish. They understand all of the Spanish spoken by the teacher. In this camp, the children will use the knowledge they have to practice everyday life situations, continue to expand their vocabulary to converse in more detail with the teacher and classmates in a fun and engaging way, as well as brushing up on accent and fluency. Singing, dancing, arts and crafts, acting, games, storytelling, tasting Spanish foods, and making their own Spanish book are incorporated into everyday activities.
